Trial Photoshoot

Below are the images that I have taken to practice working with my actors. I have tried to take individual shots and group photos.
 1) This image was just testing the camera and seeing what the quality is like. Looking back at the photo I actually really like it. It shows the girl and her personality through her make up, what she is wearing and from her room. I plan to do this for the other three band members as I think this will look really good.
 2) This is a group shot without the flash. They all look very smiley which creates a fun look about them.
 3) I prefer this group photo as the flash made the quality better and all the girls are posing rather than all smiling. IT gives more of an edge to them. The next time I take group photos I will plan the clothing better as I want them to be more connected through what they are wearing.
4)Before creating more group shots, I wanted to experiment with the girls in groups of two.
 5) I don't think that these photos are as effective as the group of four pictures.
6) I liked the idea of this shot, but I thought it would look more effective if all the girls were smiling with their teeth showing.
7) I really like this shot. I saw this in the video to the song 'hair' by Little Mix. I think that it shows that they are quite girly and is a stereotypical teenager shot.
8) This shot is very similar to the one before, but looks just as good.
9) I wanted to create single shots of each band member so that I can focus on how they look. After looking at this photo of Issy (Scarlett) the rebellious character, I realized that I wanted her appearance to be a bit bolder. I liked what she was wearing and hair.
10) This image is of Katie (Rose); the fashionable one. I think it has worked well because it shows her clothes and shows that she is fashionable.
11) If I were to redo this photo I would ask my model to wear something completely different. This is because her personality should be quite mature, but I feel what she is wearing could come across as more rebellious than mature.
12) This photo is of Lauren (Elizabeth). Her character is sophisticated and I think this shot does show that slightly. To make it look better I would ask my model to pose more than smile.

Male Gaze Theory

Focus Group

Here is the focus group I created to help me understand exactly what it is my target audience are looking for.

Focus Group Booking

In Monday's lesson last week, I booked a room to use for my focus group. There were two available rooms. I chose a smaller room as I felt it would feel less intimidating for the girls who I will be questioning. The bigger room was called the 'Board Room' and had lots of space in it.

The smaller room was called the 'Collinson Room' and was more suitable for the amount of people I was going to have in my focus group.
